There have been some memorable conversations (in this particular case, memorable is a positive adjective) at the ward. I was sitting with my high school buddy Brad during a conjoined lesson, and he leaned to me and whispered, "I bet you anything the lesson today is on marriage. This is a singles ward, and when they get the guys and girls together for class, the topic is going to be marriage for sure."
The 2nd counselor got up and said, "Today's lesson is on hope and endurance."
I turned to Brad with a smug smile. "No, I still win," he said. "Everyone in the ward hopes to get married and has to endure until it finally happens!"
